Working draft, pending counsel review

This document describes how the software is built to behave and is published for transparency ahead of launch. It is not yet reviewed by a lawyer, and it is not legal advice. Anything you need in writing for procurement, email privacy@demandlark.com.

The principle

Reddit works because the person answering has no reason to lie. DemandLark exists to help you find people asking for what you sell and give them a useful answer, not to make a thread look like more people agree than actually do. Every rule below follows from that.

Required in every reply you post

  • A disclosure of your relationship to the product. Drafts include one; do not remove it.
  • A statement that is true and that you can support if a moderator asks. No invented benchmarks, no fabricated 'I switched from X' stories, no fake customer quotes.
  • Relevance to the question actually asked. A reply that is off-topic is spam even when it is disclosed.

Never

  • Votes. Do not buy, sell, or automate upvotes or downvotes. DemandLark has no voting feature and never will.
  • Undisclosed promotion, including sockpuppet conversations between accounts you control.
  • Posting in a community whose rules prohibit promotional comments. Each match shows what the community allows; check it before you post.
  • Impersonation: claiming to be a customer, an employee, or an ordinary user of a product when you are not.
  • Astroturfing competitor threads: no review bombing, no coordinated negative comments, no reporting competitors' posts to draw moderator attention.
  • Using DemandLark to harass or track individual Reddit users, or to collect their data for any purpose other than replying to their public posts.

How the rules are enforced

  • DemandLark never posts, so every reply is posted by a person who has read it.
  • Drafts include a disclosure, and leave out links where a community does not allow them.
  • Consequences: a first breach is a written warning; a second is suspension; vote manipulation or undisclosed promotion ends the account.

Reporting a problem

If you see a reply drafted with DemandLark that looks undisclosed, off-topic, or dishonest, email trust@demandlark.com with the permalink. We cannot remove Reddit content ourselves, but we will look into the account behind it and act under this policy.
